The National Environment Agency (NEA) has issued a heat stress advisory for Singapore. The advisory is in place from 24 July 2023 until further notice.
The advisory applies to prolonged outdoor activities under direct sun, such as exercising, working, or attending events. The NEA recommends that people take precautions to stay cool and hydrated, such as:
The Ministry of Health (MOH) also advises people to seek medical attention if they experience any symptoms of heat-related illnesses, such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, or heat stroke. The NEA and MOH will continue to monitor the heat situation and issue updates as necessary.
